Poetry by Garion

My son, Garion, has some poems that he wrote for his English class that he did rather well on.
Goodbye by Garion Lemay

I stand in the night
So bright
Upon the sky
And everyday I say good bye

You worshiped me like I was a god
Who held a mighty rod
You had great hopes
When I wept upon these slopes

Then another god came
And had me for blame
I did not care
For I was beating a bag of beer

I still stand before you
And when I am through
I will finally die
Then you shall say your final goodbye

Asleep by Garion Lemay

Covered in darkness I lay
In fear of this dream
I run away
But one can not escape from this dark stream

Then a shriek
What was that I heard
That desperate cry was weak
I wept upon this spoken word

I wondered if I will ever be able to open my eyes
Then a tear rolls down in line
I wondered why
Because it was not mine

The Darkness faded and the light returned
Yet my eyes stayed closed, unturned

More than three words by Garion Lemay

Damn you fools

What love truly
Is

Love is not about looks
Love is not about lies
Neither is it about desire
Love is more than three words said before bedtime

Love is compassion
It is eternal
Never-ending
Love cannot
Be described by
Simple words

Damn you fools
Fools who do not understand
What love
Truly
Is
